Power & EV Charging
Plan backup power and everyday charging.
Choose a portable battery, compare a generator, or plan EV charging at home. Start with the loads you need to support and the way the equipment will connect.
Equipment & project guides
Find the guide for your project.
Before you compare equipment or quotes
For an outage
List the devices that matter, their running load and any starting demand. Decide whether you need a few hours of battery power or longer operation with fuel. Use the portable-power guide to separate watts from watt-hours.
For a generator
Plan outdoor placement and the connection before comparing equipment. A portable generator must stay outside, away from openings; powering household circuits requires appropriate transfer equipment. Start with the generator guide, then check the exact product instructions.
For home charging
Record the vehicle, daily driving, parking position and available charging time. Have the electrical capacity and proposed circuit assessed before choosing charging equipment. A higher rating alone does not establish that it fits the home.
